So, who is Howard Gutman, Obama's pointman on perfect parenthood? Mastermind of the "proper attack" on Gov. Sarah Palin?
Possibly one of the biggest, bloodiest scalps McCain could tack to the wall:
- Official member of Barack Obama's campaign. You know, one of those folks eligible for something Obama calls "firing" should they attack a candidate's family --- properly or otherwise.
- Only one of 35 bundlers to raise over $500,000 for Obama, on par with Hollywood moguls Daivd Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg
- Not only a registered lobbyist, but Lobbyist of the Year (2006)
- Not only Lobbyist of the Year, but he played a lobbyist (himself) on HBO's K Street
- Did I mention he likes to lobby?
- And that Obama does not?
“I am in this race to tell the corporate lobbyists that their days of setting the agenda in Washington are over. I have done more than any other candidate in this race to take on lobbyists — and won. They have not funded my campaign, they will not run my White House, and they will not drown out the voices of the American people when I am president.”
— Barack Obama, Speech in Des Moines, IA, November 10, 2007
- And last but not least, defense attorney for Bill Ayers' Weather Underground killers, springing domestic terrorist Susan Rosenberg from prison. Correction: While Bill Clinton sprung Rosenberg via one of his 140 last minute pardons, Gutman was still actively seeking to spring her before Clinton's timely pardon.
Like I said before, he can give Obama the finger over his "off limits" Palin family smear because Howard Gutman OWNS Barack Obama.
UPDATE: Thanks, lauraw(!), Bob Owens and Protein Wisdom.

Great work, Cuffy. This needs to be shouted from the rooftops.
What slimeballs.

Thanks, Nice Deb. Yet another example of what can be uncovered/reported with 10 minutes of Googling.
And as Ace says, the MSM gets *paid* for this and have a larger quiver to draw from (Lexis, DC sources, etc.)...but choose not to pursue stories harmful to the Community Organizer.

I just watched Obama (on Fox)give a rousing speech slamming McCain and Washington lobbyists.
No, really.
My God, the man does have audacity, I will give him that.

Another comment...(because I keep forgetting to check the remember personal info box). I'm sick of filling that sucka out.
I'll do a post about this at Nice Deb, just to pile on, right after I do the flag story...those slimy-assed bastards.

Wait, are you really saying that Barack's principles can be compromised by money???
No, that's not possible. He is above all that.

Dang HTML.

Obama has the audacity of hoping people won't figure out what complete phony he is by the 4th of November.

Well done Cuffy!
When I heard about Gutman yesterday, I immediately sent of a letter to the Obama camp (followed by cc's to all the major networks, McCain camp and the RNC)demanding that he be terminated and an investigation be conducted into the activities of the rest of his staff.
Not surprisingly, I've gotten no response. One the optimistic side, Fox has this up:

A few related points bear mention: Sen. Obama has said that he has "executive experience" because he has managed his campaign.
Yet his campaign is poorly run. This creep Gutman is able to openly defy Obama. Further, the reason Obama is so dependent on Mr. Gutman is Obama's betrayal of his promise to take public financing. That's why Sen. Obama needs money so badly right now--and why he can't afford to upset a bigtime lobbyist fundraiser.

Just a glimpse of an Obama Administration.
BHO publicly states he's in charge of the hen house, but inside it's the foxes who call the shots.
I suspect an Obama presidency will be more along the lines of Ulysses Grant's than Jimmy Carter's. A brilliant general, Grant failed miserably in the White House because he was incapable or unwilling to control his peers.

Yowza.
And the list of reasons to vote for McCain and not Obama just keep growing and growing.
