The Civil War never ended; I did not know that:
And so it came to pass that on Nov. 4, 2008, shortly after 11 p.m. Eastern time, the American Civil War ended, as a black man — Barack Hussein Obama — won enough electoral votes to become president of the United States.
...
This moment was necessary, for despite a century of civil rights legislation, judicial interventions and social activism — despite Brown v. Board of Education, Martin Luther King’s I-have-a-dream crusade and the 1964 Civil Rights Act — the Civil War could never truly be said to have ended until America’s white majority actually elected an African-American as president.
So as the New York Times finally announces the end of the American Civil War, we anxiously await NBC's proclamation of the end of the Iraqi civil war they breathlessly declared 2 years ago --- and stopped referring to as such just a few weeks later. Only 145 years to go!:
Ahhh, the pinnacle of pre-Surge defeatism --- hope you enjoyed that. Two months later, then-Sen. Obama introduced his infamous "Let's Surrender in Iraq" legislation.
Oh, and do note the label on the NBC video "Ex-Gen. McCaffrey discusses Iraq crisis." Dumbasses.
So what war would end if we were to elect this guy president? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Nighthorse_Campbell
I do not believe the NYT could figure out which leg to shit down if an Amerind were to defeat a Black for POTUS. Race card go poof!

Great, Ron is back.
Guess what, Ron? You just elected your very own chickenhawk. Congrats.
Guess what else? You're fucking banned. I've had enough of your one-note chickhawk bullshit. Bye.

(sorry for those wondering what I'm talking about above --- Typepad's banning feature also deleted the ban-inciting post)
Basically, Ron S. stopped by yet again to make his stupid chickenhawk "argument." It became his last time.

But Barack is not a chicken-hawk, Cuffy, since he's been opposed to the Iraq War from the get-go.
A chicken-hawk is somebody like Dick Cheney, Karl Rove or Rush Limbaugh (or most of the conservative pro-war bloggers); EG, those who promote sending others to fight their battles, but when they had a chance to go, they evaded service.
BTW, sounds like this Ron S. cat really struck a nerve...

We'll continue this conversation the day after Obama bombs/invades his first new country as Commander-in-Chief. Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela... so many targets for your soon-to-be chickenhawk.
BTW, I think the "chickenhawk" argument is among the dumbest anti-war talking points there is. You're probably one of those naive dipshits who whines "why can't we just let the generals fight it out in The Cage?" Grow up.

After 5 years the laughable chickenhawk argument has proven useful for only one thing:
Identifying people who know nothing about the military.

"You're probably one of those naive dipshits who whines..."
- Cuffy (Button-pusher) Meigs
"Ever notice how the liberals always resort to name-calling whenever they can't come up with a substantive argument?"
- Rush (Oxycontin) Limbaugh

name-calling
NEWSALERT, genius: what unsubstantive name-calling started this moronic conversation in the first place? Something to do with poultry.

name-calling
That wasn't name-calling. That was a diagnosis.

And you sound like one of those phony war wimps whose closest experience to a firefight was watching John Wayne on TV. I served two tours in 'Nam, Meigs; what war were you in?

Thank you for your service and a belated Merry Christmas, Shydecker.
The chickenhawk argument is still brilliantly stupid. Happy New Year.

That would make you the only veteran I've ever heard of who supports the chickenhawk argument, which is fundamentally opposed to the tenets of the military. I think it's pretty unlikely that you're the exception that proves the rule, so I'll just attribute your prior service claims to typical liberal BS.
