Video: The More You Know: Caroline Kennedy
How many You Know's can Princess impulsively drop in a 2 minute interview answer? Ten? Twenty? Let's count!
(h/t: Gateway Pundit for the raw video)
UPDATE: Don't look now, but you --- yes, you --- are on CNN. They did a story on Caroline's tic and pointed to this very post. You're famous, reader!
UPDATE: Ben Smith of Politico audits an entire Princess interview transcript from the New York Times:
One thing Caroline Kennedy would bring to Washington: A new, distinctive Kennedy verbal tic: She said "you know" 138 times in her Times interview.
UPDATE: Thanks for linking, Allahpundit, Ace, The Other McCain, USA Today (who doesn't like my buzzer --- BZZZT!), American Digest, LA Times Blog, Extreme Mortman, American Thinker, Sundries Shack and memeorandum.
UPDATE: Dangit! A fella tries to semi-retire from snarky political blogging and only then gets his video linked by DRUDGE, Breitbart and Neal Boortz. So, um, you know --- please visit my new blog, teeming masses.
I don't know which is worse, the audio above or these totally different snippets from the NY Daily News. You know (heh), reporters usually edit out the extraneous stuff; the Daily News gleefully does not:
"I'm really coming into this as somebody who isn't, you know, part of the system, who obviously, you know, stands for the values of, you know, the Democratic Party," Kennedy told the Daily News Saturday during a wide-ranging interview.
"I know how important it is to, you know, to be my own person. And, you know, and that would be obviously true with my relationship with the mayor."
Criticized for ignoring reporters after her name surfaced as a possible Clinton replacement, Kennedy sat down with the media this weekend. Displaying her notorious shyness during the 30-minute chat, the mother of three, author and public education advocate was pleasant, but spoke softly and rarely made eye contact. Her speech was often punctuated with extra "you knows" and "ums."
Regarding her rival (and her cousin's ex) Andrew Cuomo:
"Andrew is, you know, highly qualified for this job," she said. "He's doing a, you know, a great job as attorney general, and we've spoken throughout this process."
"You know, I think, you know, we're sort of, uh, sharing some of this experience. And um, as I've said, he was a friend, a family member, and um so, and uh obviously, he's, you know, he's also had an impressive career in public office."
Wrap it up, Princess:
"It's really, you know, it's not about just the Kennedy name," she said.
Really?
Then again, I suppose Caroline's near-Tourettes could be worse. Much worse:
You know? That was pretty, you know, good.
Proof posted this at sayanything, hat tipped HotAir, and I am currently lashing him for that grievous error!

Princess Caroline is as eloquent as Barack Obama, just without the media being in the tank for her.

You know, still I think Obama can, you know, umm, still say less and, errr, take longer, you know, to say it, then, umm, this airhead can, you know?

Not sure what was more irritating, the "you know's", or the most irritating buzzer sound on the face of the earth!!

Is anyone else bothered by the slideshow that they had going?
No real video? Weird.
It has the slick and glossy feel of a commercial.

most irritating buzzer sound on the face of the earth
Mission Accomplished! Do you know how long it took me to find that annoying .wav?

Don't send your children to private school: princess' speech habilities show it's useless. Save your money.

that's a very grating noise. better to have a running visual count displayed.

I hear people speak like this all of the time in Detroit. They just add a couple more words.
You know what I'm sayin'?

"You know" : Caroline :: "Uh" : Barack

It takes a neo-liberal to claim that raising a family is a lifelong devotion to public service, as all things private belong to the public.
Caroline Kennedy Onassis, grow up at your own expense! You presume to lead the Socialist movement in America while hoarding your fortune, unwilling to spread even a little wealth, proving all fallacy. Your mother and 2nd father raised you to disdain public service, and even to disdain fund-raising as you belong to the highest "class" that disdains the nuisance of humanity beyond what you cache. With no intestinal fortitude, you can’t afford the luxury of starving. “This is a time when nobody can afford to sit it out. I’m starving.”
Where is Caroline K. Onassis’ Profile In Courage?
Her single public service was eliminating Hillary Clinton’s name from the 2008 DNC POTUS ticket. "Um, you know."

This is not the Caroline Kennedy I know.

So Cuff, do you regret that snarky comment about Sarah's doodles now, which were actually related to things she wanted to do.
Posted by: narciso | December 29, 2008 at 12:16 PM
narisco,
I made no snarky comment about Palin's doodles. Quite the contrary, I discussed the fact that Palin's doodles were deemed childish schoolgirl scribblings by MSM experts while Obama's doodles were the magnificient manifestations of a razor sharp mind. Who saw that coming?

Why can't Carline just get a speaking coach - like Sarah Palin, remember her, had for makeup & hair?

Nearly the entire X and Y generations punctuate their sentences with the word 'like' to the point of ridiculousness, yet you never hear an outcry against this brain staller, like, you know, like I think, like, it really, like, shows the stupidity of, like, an entire age bracket. Don't you, like, think so?

Cuff, you are almost in the big time! Now, all you need is to be labeled a purveyor of hate speech.

You know, this is so cute.
Luv ya, you know,
Caroline
