"Hello, Barry."
Wow. At his town hall in New Hampshire today, Obama deployed conservatives' all-time favorite example of government ineptitude --- the United State Postal Service --- as an example of how public and private enterprises can peacefully co-exist:
He also disputed the notion that adding a government-run insurance plan into a menu of options from which people could pick would drive private insurers out of business, in effect making the system single-payer by default.
As long as they have a good product and the government plan has to sustain itself through premiums and other non-tax revenue, private insurers should be able to compete with the government plan, Obama said.
"They do it all the time," he said. "UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. ... It's the Post Office that's always having problems."

We've screwed up a service that 100% of the country uses. Which means, of course, we are ready to run 15% of the economy.
At least the DMV comparisons will stop. Everyone has a pleasant experience at the post office. *whew*

Well isn't that a convenient example...after all, the post office is where the most wanted are posted, and now the healthcare folks are collecting information on the 'most fishy'

USPS - we deliver for you!
USHS - we deliver...you!

The Post Office comment was interesting. I'd contend there's an apples to oranges comparison of DHS to the Postal Service - but I'm sure there's a lot beyond that to pick apart in this festival of misinformation we're seeing the Obama Administration trotting out.

OK, Barry, now change the law to require DHL and FecEx and UPS to operste in exactly the same manner, usig identical methods to the USPS and see what happens.

Isn't he saying that the private sector is better at solving problems than the government?
